We are a hearth shop first. We sell you the fireplace or the stove, we install it, and we look after the chimney it vents through. The same trucks clean the ducts and the carpets in the rest of the house, which is why one number covers all of it.

Smoke and air take one path through your house. We work all of it.
Flue, firebox, hearth, duct, carpet. Most towns make you ring a dealer for the appliance, a sweep for the chimney and somebody else again for the ducts, and each of them blames the other two. We have been the one address on State Highway 32 since 1986.

The hearth side and the cleaning side are not two companies wearing one name. They share a workshop, a parts shelf and a phone number, and they turn up in the same week when you need both.

Best Clean Plus describes itself as the largest fireplace and chimney shop in Southeast Missouri. What that means in practice is that the lines below are stocked and serviced here rather than ordered in and handed over. We are members of the Hearth, Patio & Barbecue Association.

Call (573) 255-8845We run a truck-mounted system. It heats and extracts at a level a portable unit cannot reach, which pulls out more debris, allergens and pet dander and puts less water back into the carpet. That is also why the drying is faster.
Carpets typically dry within four to six hours. We also set carpet dryers out to speed that up, so you are not walking around a damp room all evening.
Yes. We use environmentally friendly solutions that lift dirt and stains without harsh chemicals, chosen specifically to avoid skin irritation and respiratory problems. If you have a particular sensitivity in the house, tell us before we arrive.
It is a two-step process. A gas-powered vacuum sits outside the house and pulls the large debris and dust out of the system. Then a specialised brushing system works the remaining particles loose and directs them into that vacuum, and the ducts are sanitised afterwards.
We photograph the ducts before and after and give you both. The two-step system includes air washing, so what you are looking at in the second photograph is a sanitised duct, not a swept one.
Yes. We sweep, inspect, reline and repair regardless of where the appliance came from. We carry parts for the brands on our own floor, which usually makes those the quickest turnarounds.
Before the burning season, and sooner if you are seeing more creosote, a weaker draught, or smoke coming back into the room. If you have burned unseasoned wood this year, do not wait for the calendar.

Cold weather is the worst time to find out about the flue.
